It's getting to be that time of year again...

Apple trees loaded with apples, blooming golden rod, leaves just starting to turn crimson red, 70 degree weather... PERFECT time for a bike ride on the Wallkill Rail Trail. About an 1.5 hour drive from Jersey City, NJ to New Paltz, NY.

It's an eazy peazy ride with no uphill climbing. Great views of the Shawangunk "Gunks"mountain range. Wildlife spotted along the way: 1 Granddaddy long-legs, 1 small brown snake with black markings, 1 chipmunk, 22 brown cows, 2 horses, and 1 wood chuck? or groundhog?..not sure which.
Tip: Try the homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream at Cookies and Cream on Main Street in New Paltz after your 8-12 mile ride. Made with fresh mint and tastes AWESOME!
